It was weigh in night at the Biggest Loser house in this episode and, this time one person from the Blue team was automatically Eliminated. Who else will be going?

Angie’s Last Chance Training

Angie said that this Last Chance Workout was a huge one because the team that gets through the weigh in gets through to the final week. She told her team that this workout would be the biggest one they do.

Angie asked her team what happened in the Temptation Challenge. Kevin said that immunity for one person was on offer. Angie said,

‘Really? No? So that means that person automatically goes through to final week?’

Kevin confirmed that was the case and Angie asked everyone what they had eaten. She got to Carol who told her she hadn’t been tempted, Angie told her she was proud of her and that she had been really strong. Her team told her that none of them had won immunity and Angie said that was a little disappointing.

The Black team had done their positive thought experiment again and Angie went round the team asking what they wanted to lose. Carol said 6lbs, Maria wanted 5lbs, Kevin wanted 8lbs and Sadie wanted 10lbs. It will be interesting to see if their experiment works as well as it did last week! Angie said,

‘Okay so look, Last Chance Training. What I wanna do is throw everything at you and the kitchen sink! Cardio, cardio, cardio. I want you dripping in sweat. I want to see the fat coming off you! Okay so you’re ready to go. We just gotta burn, burn, burn calories! Go!’

So, with the song ‘Disco Inferno’ playing over the montage, the Black team sprinted on the machines they were on and got the sweat flowing and the fat burning! Angie said what she was going to do was take them all up a couple of notches from where they would normally be on the machines they were on and get them to maintain that throughout the session. She said,

‘It’s punishing, it’s gruelling but, it really does an incredible job of burning calories,’

Angie spoke individually to her team, encouraging them and reminding them why they were there. When she got to Maria, she told her that she knew the workout was tough but that Maria was a tough girl now and wasn’t frightened of her any more. Maria said later,

‘I think Angie can be very frightening, cos I was very scared of her! Before I came into this house I wasn’t happy. I wasn’t happy with myself or my life. The confidence, I don’t know where it’s all come from. It’s probably what I’ve gone through here,’

Angie said later,

‘She (Maria) said to me she’s got fire in her belly now. There’s no way she had fire in her belly when I met her. She was like a mouse! She wouldn’t speak, she wasn’t very happy. It’s pretty incredible stuff,’

Angie worked her team hard for Last Chance Training but also helped to remind them all of why they were there and what they had achieved so far. She may be scary on the outside but she knows how to get results!

Angie said,

‘I love my team! They are brilliant!’ she said later,

‘I said to my Black team I WILL see you after the weigh in, guaranteed. I truly, truly believe it 100%!’

Richard’s Last Chance Training

Richard said that Last Chance Workout had never been so important, echoing exactly what Angie had said. Both trainers want their team to get through to the final week but, Richard possibly has more of a fight on his hands with the Blues. They haven’t been working terribly well as a team and there has been a lot of bickering in the ranks. On top of that, Richard knows that no matter what he does in the workout, one of his team would definitely be leaving – not the best of situations for him and his team! Richard said,

‘Devastating. If I don’t push them hard I might have two people leaving!’

Richard lined his team up in front of him and said that he was worried enough about one person going at weigh in let alone the team being up for Elimination. He asked about Temptation and Jamie told him that the prize was immunity. He told the team that someone needed to put him out of his misery and tell him who won the immunity. So Katey told him that she had won it.

He said congratulations to Katey and then asked the other three how did it feel to know one of them would be going home on Friday. Lisa got emotional and started crying. Richard asked her what was wrong and she said,

‘Honestly, I’m mad! Cos I’ve worked so hard this week and I’m not being funny but, whether Katey’s been ill or not she hasn’t been in the gym all the time! I’m just mad, that’s all,’

She Said, He Said, She Said!

Katey said later that the comment Lisa made got her really angry and she couldn’t believe that the words were coming out of Lisa’s mouth. Katey was stood next to Lisa glaring at her and said it wasn’t true. Katey said that she had missed one training session because she was ill and that every other one she was there and worked as hard as Lisa, if not harder.

Lisa said later that Katey stood there and said it was all lies. Katey said that she was shocked at what Lisa was saying about her and that it wasn’t true. Although, Michaela also felt that when Richard isn’t about Katey doesn’t pull her weight as much as she should do or as much as she does when Richard is there.

Richard told them both it was crunch time and that they both had to let it go. He said later,

‘I’m disappointed. I’m angry. It’s Last Chance Workout and they’re fighting! Don’t they realise that one of them is guaranteed to leave? If they don’t start working out properly it could be two!’

He told the girls he was going to give them two minutes to sort it out and told Michaela to try and help them. Michaela said that they were a team and this fighting between them was ridiculous. Katey said that just because she wasn’t in the gym didn’t mean she wasn’t working and Lisa replied that she was in the gym and Carol had come in. Lisa had asked her where Katey was and Carol told her that she was in bed because she was tired. The Blue team were on the machines in the gym with Lisa on the left, Jamie in between, Michaela next and Katey on the right. Poor old Jamie was trying to workout with the argument raging over his head! Jamie had got to the end of his patience so he blurted out,

‘Leave it at that!’

Lisa asked him what he was upset about and he said that he didn’t like all this fighting going on while he was trying to workout. He said their constant bickering wound him up and that was why he never went into the gym with them. He said later,

‘I don’t like going to the gym when Lisa and Michaela are in there because they talk too much, I can’t concentrate!’

His outburst didn’t go down too well with Michaela and an argument then ensued between Michaela and Jamie! Talk about team harmony! Michaela said later,

‘It just made me really angry then because there’s been many times when he’s too lazy to even get out of his bed to come across to the gym sessions. Yeah I might have a chat and I might have a laugh but, I’m still doing my work!’

Jamie said that when Michaela is on her own she is fine but when she gets together with Lisa she does sometimes become aggressive towards people even though she doesn’t know she’s doing it. He said she isn’t the Michaela he has been around for the last 7 weeks and he just can’t handle being around her and Lisa any more. Michaela said later,

‘We’d all said our piece and then Richard came back into the gym. I was really pleased because I thought I don’t want anymore time wasting. I just need to get on with this session!’

Get On With It!

When Richard came back into the room he said you could cut the atmosphere with a knife! He told them that right now it was Last Chance Workout and that they needed to grow up! He was obviously not impressed at all with his team at that moment. He told them they had to step it up and win the weigh in. He also admitted that he was pretty angry with them at the moment. He couldn’t believe that they were bickering between themselves like a ‘bunch of schoolchildren’! He said,

‘Step it up! We have to win the weigh in! So one by one, you’re going to give me pain on a stick!’

He really took his frustrations out on the team. He said that Lisa was moaning that she always works harder than Katey so he decided to put that to the test. He set her running and told her she had to keep it up at that speed for 15 minutes without stopping. Then he got Katey going flat out on the Cross Trainer for two minutes. He was telling Lisa that she had better not dare stop and the same to Katey. He told Katey that he didn’t care if she had got immunity, she owed it to the team to do everything she could and prove she was worth it.

Then it was Michaela’s turn. She said later, if there was one piece of equipment that she hated it was the Bosu Ball. Yep, you guessed it, Richard got her doing her workout on one! She said she couldn’t seem to get to grips with the lunges Richard wanted her to do on the ball. She said it was so painful!

So then it was Jamie’s turn. Richard said later that he noticed Jamie’s face. He was stern and very angry looking – like a volcano about to erupt. So Richard decided that boxing would be good for Jamie’s workout. When Jamie saw what Richard had in mind for him he said he said that he couldn’t do it because he was scared of what he would do. Richard got him started and then continued to wind him up, hitting Jamie with the pads and asking him why he was hitting hard enough. Jamie kept saying,

‘Richard, don’t!’ but Richard kept pushing his buttons!

It looked like a clash of the titans between the two of them! They were butting against each other, throwing punches and really going for it – only just short of a full blown brawl! Then all of a sudden, Jamie just let himself out of the gym and walked away!

They did sort it out and shake hands afterwards and then Richard told them all they had to stop the bickering and get their heads down! He told them the whole experience was bigger than any of their little trivial problems. He told them to get over it, get to weigh in and win!

Pre-Weigh In Packing

Normally, the team that is up for Elimination has to pack on a Monday before the votes are cast. But, because one of the Blue team was going to be Eliminated at weigh in, they all had to pack their stuff up. Michaela said,

‘I feel really nervous today before the weigh in because we know that a member of the Blue team is definitely going home. This is total shock to us really,’

Her mood was mirrored by the rest of her team except Katey who had won immunity at the Temptation Challenge. Jamie said that he thought Lisa should be going home because she hadn’t gone through the trials and tribulations that the rest of the team had. Lisa said that she deserved to stay because she ‘hadn’t been slacking off or lying’. Michaela said she felt she shouldn’t be going home and deserved to be there more than Katey and Jamie did as she had been consistently working harder.

Jamie and Katey were in one of the bedrooms and Katey said the best possible scenario for her would be for Lisa to go. Jamie agreed and said that if she did end up going home he ‘wouldn’t shed a tear’.

Lisa and Michaela felt that Katey was the only person who deserved to go home but she had immunity. Lisa said that sucked!

The Weigh In

Kate Garraway welcomed the teams and congratulated them on making it this far into the Biggest Loser. She explained that this week there would be two Eliminations. The first from the Blue team because they had lost the Challenge this week and the second from the team who loses the weigh in.

Lisa-Marie 23 stone 11lb 23 stone 7lb 4lb  1 stone 11lb
Mark (Eliminated) 22 stone 1lb 21 stone 7lb 8lb   4 stone 6lb

Katey was the first person to be weighed and Lisa said later that she was expecting low numbers from her because of the lack of effort on Katey’s part. Katey was desperate to prove that she had been putting in the effort and for the scales to reflect that. When the scales revealed that Katey had lost 8lbs, she looked over at Lisa who had a face like thunder! Katey said later that proved that she had been working hard. It was Katey’s biggest weight loss since week 1.

Maria had wanted 5lb and was disappointed with her loss of 3lb because she had worked so hard all week. Carol said later that she had expected a lot more because of the training that Maria had done that week.

Sadie had set herself a goal of 10lbs this week which would take her well below the 19 stone mark. She said she didn’t remember being 18 stone something! She said she had set the goal at 10lbs so she could get below 18 stone as quickly as possible. But the scales said she was a little way off her goal at 3lbs. Kevin said later that he was flabbergasted by the low number after everything Sadie had done this week. Sadie said she felt like she had let her team down.

Jamie was disappointed with his 5lb weight loss. Michaela and Lisa both said later that it proved he hadn’t been putting in the effort during this week. With such a low weight loss, Jamie could be the person who was to be automatically Eliminated!

Lisa was ‘gutted’ with her weight loss. Sadie said later that Lisa didn’t really have a leg to stand on having a go at Katey and her lack of effort when the scales proved that Lisa hadn’t been working that hard. Kate Garraway asked Lisa how she was feeling and she said she wasn’t impressed by her loss at all.

When Carol realised she had lost a good number again this week, she was obviously over the moon. She said,

‘What a week!’

She looked so proud and when she looked at the rest of her team, she could see them grinning right back at her!

The percentages were really close with the Blues on 1.81% and the Blacks on 1.83% but, the Blacks managed to squeeze through with their team intact for the final week!

It meant that the Blue team would only have two members going into the final week. Jamie couldn’t hide his disappointment as Kate Garraway explained the situation and all of the other team members looked very worried. Kate Garraway explained that it was Lisa and Jamie’s weight loss that brought down the percentage. Michaela said later that if the Blue team had lost one more pound they would have been safe! Just one more!

The person on the Blue team with the lowest percentage weight loss would now be Eliminated.

  • Katey had 2.86%
  • Michaela had 2.08%
  • Jamie had 1.42%
  • Lisa had 1.20%

Lisa would be going home, leaving Jamie, Katey and Michaela behind. Michaela said she felt really devastated for Lisa walking out of the weigh in room because she felt Lisa didn’t deserve to be going home. Michaela felt it should have been Jamie. Jamie and Katey both said that they wouldn’t miss Lisa and they felt she deserved to be going home.

Final Pleas

Because Katey had got immunity, the vote as to who would be going home on Monday would be hers so Michaela and Jamie had to state their cases for staying to Katey.

Michaela was the first to put forward her plea to Katey. She said that she had loved her experience in the house. At that point she got emotional and had to wait a bit before she could carry on. She went on to say that during the first two or three weeks she had found it difficult to get into it but then she had found her footing and she realised how much she needed the experience. She said she knew it was only another week to go but, she thinks the extra week would get her another 5 or 6lbs off. She said that she would find it difficult to carry on at home on her own and wanted the extra week to concrete her loss before she was let loose on the world again.

Then it was Jamie’s turn. He started by saying that Katey is his friend but that he didn’t want her to take that into consideration when she was making her decision. He said that the reason he was in the Biggest Loser house was to take control of his life which he feels he has done and, although he wanted to stay for the final week, he had achieved part of what he was there for. He said the fact is that at the weigh in, he got the lowest weight so, technically, he should be going home. He ended his plea with,

‘If you do send me home just remember that I love you. You are my friend,’

Hmmmmm. Did Jamie say that at the end to secure his place in the house or to let Katey know that, regardless of her decision, he would still be her friend?

Next time in the Biggest Loser, Katey reveals her decision between Michaela and Jamie and the final week begins! (Dun dun dah!!!!)
